Little Penelope, or Penny as we call her, got here on saturday and has settled in wonderfully! She is such a sweet, outgoing little girl and she is so happy to be in a home! This is really what foster care is al about...
She has been getting along great with the other dogs, even instigating play and trying to roughhouse by following the sound of them playing!
She only has one eye as one had to be removed, it was badly uncerated and was hurting her. She seems to be completely blind in the other eye, but doesn't let it slow her down! She took a few days to find her way around the house by bumping into walls and doorways, and now she gets around great! It's fascinating to watch...
She had a few accidents when she first arerived, but has been doing so much better! I have to carry her outside and she'll do her business right away! As long as she's opn a regular schedule and is supervised she does great...

I've been crating her during the day, mainly for housebreaking purposes and she stayis in her crate without a peep! And same thing at night, no fussing at all! She is very attentive and follows you around. She knows her name and gets so excited wehen you call her in a sing-song voice and she'll scrable to get to you!
She is very smart and learns fast. She responds well to corrections and knows No. She will also go for walks, she is so curious and loves exploring. We've been keeping the walks short and sweet for now, it's a big world for a small, blind dog...

Poor girl has been bred ALOT! She was estimated at 5-8 years old, but I think she is definately closer to 5, she is just so full of energy. Her poor care is decieving and makes her look older than she is. She has a sleek little body, beautiful markings, a shiny coat and the cutest face in the wold!
Penny is a real little clown and you just cant keep from smiling when you're around her! She is just so happy and full of life and her little face is just the cutest thing! She has so much love to give and just deserves a forever home...
